Autism Assessment (non-diagnostic) & Dyspraxia

Social Communication Assessment:

All of our speech and language therapists and our occupational therapist are experienced with working with children on the autistic spectrum. John and Anthony have both, at various times in their careers, had roles within autism diagnostic clinics.

We are often asked to provide our opinion on whether a child or young person is likely to present with an underlying social communication disorder as part of our standard assessment procedures.

John and Anthony are experienced in delivering and interpreting the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2), the Children’s Communication Checklist and the Strengths & Difficulties Questionnaire.

If you are seeking a specialised report that will provide an indication of whether your child may be presenting with a social communication disorder, we offer specialised assessment for this.

Disclaimer: only a child psychiatrist, clinical psychologist or paediatrician is qualified to provide a medical diagnosis of Autism and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our assessments are currently therefore non-diagnostic. They may be used to provide evidence towards a formal diagnosis if you are engaging with another diagnostic professional, or simply to help you understand better how to support your child.
